Black Friday Mattress Sale Australia 2026: Which Deals Are Real?

Koala, Sleeping Duck, Ecosa, Emma and Origin queen prices, checked on each brand’s own store where it let us, and judged against what the same mattress cost at EOFY, Boxing Day and last Black Friday — so you know whether ‘50% off’ is a deal or the normal price.

The short answer: is Black Friday the time to buy a mattress in Australia?

Yes — for Koala, Sleeping Duck, Ecosa and Origin, Black Friday (Friday 27 November 2026) is one of the three cheapest weeks of the year, and right now none of them is at its best price. For Emma, it barely matters: Emma’s mattresses are 45–50% off today and have been at that level at almost every sale this year. If you need a bed in the next month, the smart move is to pick the model now, then wait for the week of 23 November unless you’re buying an Emma.

This page is a tracker, not a list of affiliate links with big percentages. We checked each brand’s own store on 27 Oct 2026 for the queen price shoppers actually pay, then compared it with the best queen price we can cite from Australian sale roundups over the past year — Tom’s Guide AU, Better Homes and Gardens and Home Beautiful tracked Black Friday 2025, Boxing Day 2025, EOFY 2025 and Easter 2026. That second number matters more than the crossed-out RRP, because almost nobody pays RRP for a bed-in-a-box mattress in Australia. We re-check every week until 1 December and update the date at the top.

Our opinionated shortcuts: couples should wait for Sleeping Duck’s Black Friday bundle, because the Mach II mattress itself is almost never discounted and the brand says codes only exist at Black Friday, Boxing Day and EOFY. Budget back and stomach sleepers should hold out for the Origin Hybrid at around A$620. Anyone eyeing a Koala should not pay A$1,249 when the brand ran up to 30% off storewide last Black Friday. And if you just want the cheapest decent mattress this week, the Emma Comfort Protect at A$809 is already at its typical sale price. For the mattresses themselves — not the deals — start with our best mattress Australia rankings.

Black Friday mattress deals Australia: this week’s tracker

Each row below shows the queen RRP the brand displays, the price you would pay today on the brand’s own store, and — where we can cite one — the lowest price the same mattress reached in a recent Australian sale event. The verdict tag is our call. “Wait for Black Friday” means today’s price is clearly above what that brand charged in its last big event. “Fair — no rush” means today’s price matches the brand’s normal sale level, so buying now is reasonable but you shouldn’t panic about an end date.

Two notes on how to read the bars. First, the faded RRP bar is not a price anyone should pay; it is the starting point brands use to calculate their headline percentage. Second, the arrow marking the best past price is drawn from a specific, dated roundup, linked under each row. Where a brand has changed its model name or range since the last event — Emma, most obviously — we say so rather than pretend the comparison is exact.

We could not verify every deal we wanted to. Ecosa’s Australian store blocked our automated check, so the Ecosa Pure price was confirmed from a manual copy of ecosa.com.au taken on 27 October; note that it is a member price, so you need a free Ecosa membership to get it. We also could not confirm a Koala queen listing on Amazon Australia today, or current offers at Forty Winks and Harvey Norman. Rather than guess, we have left them out of the tracker until we can see a price ourselves. We never publish promo codes we haven’t seen on a brand’s own website, and none of the six offers above needs a code.

When do Australian mattress brands discount most?

Australian mattress pricing runs on a predictable calendar, and it is not the American one. The big local events are the end of financial year in June, the November cluster of Click Frenzy, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day. Smaller events — Easter, Afterpay Day, the spring long weekends — fill the gaps, which is why sale banners never seem to come down.

The pattern in the sources is consistent. In June 2025, Tom’s Guide AU recorded Koala at up to 30% off mattresses, Emma at up to 55% off, Ecosa at up to 35% off sitewide, and Sleeping Duck at up to A$789 off its mattress-and-bed “sleep systems”, with the Sleeping Duck sale running past the financial year to 7 July. For Black Friday 2025 (which fell on 28 November), Better Homes and Gardens reported Koala at up to 30% storewide, and Tom’s Guide AU listed Ecosa at 35% off select mattresses, Origin at up to 50% off sitewide and Sleeping Duck at A$814 off a frame-and-mattress bundle. On Boxing Day 2025, Home Beautiful listed Koala at up to 30% off plus an extra A$100 at checkout, Ecosa at up to 35% sitewide, Emma at up to 45% and Origin at up to 53%.

So the depth of discount at EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day is roughly the same for the major online brands. What changes is the extras: Black Friday tends to bring bundle deals and free pillows or protectors, and Boxing Day has added stackable dollar-off amounts. Tom’s Guide AU noted after last year’s event that the big brands “will likely start discounting” from mid-November, and that most offers stay the same through the month. That matches what we expect in 2026: watch for sales to open in the week of 16–23 November, with prices largely fixed until Cyber Monday on 30 November.

Click Frenzy is the wild card. Its November Main Event ran from 11 to 14 November in 2025, according to ShopBack, and its 2026 dates had not been announced when ShopBack checked on 8 October. Emma is already running a “Click Frenzy Sale” that its terms say ends on 2 November. Koala Black Friday sale: don’t pay A$1,249

On 27 Oct 2026 the standard Koala Mattress was listed at its full A$1,249 for a queen on Koala’s Australian store, with no mattress discount running — only a 10% sign-up offer for newsletter subscribers. That is the worst time to buy a Koala. Koala’s store already has a product collection named “Black Friday & Cyber Monday Sale 2026” with the Koala Mattress in it, which strongly suggests a sale is coming, although Koala hasn’t announced terms.

What did last year look like? Better Homes and Gardens reported Koala running up to 30% off storewide for Black Friday 2025 and named the Koala Luxe its best deal of the event at A$1,673 for a queen, down from A$2,390. Koala also ran up to 30% off mattresses for EOFY 2025, according to Tom’s Guide AU, and up to 30% off plus an extra A$100 at checkout on Boxing Day 2025, per Home Beautiful. The standard Koala Mattress has already been 30% off this year: Better Homes and Gardens recorded the queen at A$874.30 in a March 2026 sale. That is the number to beat this November. Our Koala review has the full price history by model.

  • Good Koala Black Friday deal: 30% off the Koala Mattress (≈A$875 queen) or the Koala Plus for side sleepers.
  • Great deal: 30% off plus a dollar-off extra, as Koala offered on Boxing Day.
  • Skip: anything above about A$1,000 for a standard Koala queen during the November sales.

Which Koala to buy at all is a separate question. The standard Koala Mattress is a fairly firm, flippable all-foam bed that excels at isolating a partner’s movement; side sleepers are better served by the softer Koala Plus. Our review covers the whole range, and the brand-level evidence — 86% reliability and 84% satisfaction in CHOICE’s owner survey — is middle of the pack.

Sleeping Duck Black Friday sale: wait for the bundle

Sleeping Duck is the easiest brand on this page to call, because it tells you its policy in writing. Its promotions page says the brand “only offers promotions / discount codes during our major annual sales events, including Black Friday, Boxing Day and End of Financial Year”. Outside those events, the only savings are its bundles: on 27 Oct 2026 those ran from A$100 off (the Essential bundle of mattress, two pillows and sheets) to A$200 off (the Ultimate bundle and a two-mattress Twin Pack). The SD Mach II queen itself was A$1,649 on Sleeping Duck’s mattress page.

The brand’s event deals lean towards systems rather than straight mattress discounts. For Black Friday 2025, Tom’s Guide AU listed A$814 off when you bought a new frame and mattress together. For EOFY 2025 it was up to A$789 off a Mach II plus SD Indestruct Bed with a code that has since expired. We expect a similar structure this November. That is a genuine saving if you also need a base — the Indestruct Bed starts at A$1,149 — but not much help if you only want the mattress.

One practical point. Sleeping Duck’s warranty is void on adjustable or sprung bases and on slat gaps wider than 12cm, so a Black Friday bundle with its own bed frame removes a compatibility worry as well as saving money. And its 100-night trial and free foam swaps work the same whether you bought at full price or on sale.

Ecosa Black Friday sale: target A$1,190–A$1,220 for the Pure

Ecosa is a near-permanent discounter, so the question is not whether there will be an Ecosa Black Friday sale but how deep it will go. The best number we can cite: Tom’s Guide AU listed the Ecosa Pure queen at A$1,190, down from A$1,700, after Black Friday 2025 — a 30% cut — and called it a “massive” 4.5-star mattress at that price. At Easter 2026 the same queen was A$1,218 against a new A$1,740 RRP. Bedbuyer’s listing in mid-October showed A$1,392, or 20% off, which is the level Ecosa tends to sit at between events — and Ecosa’s own store showed the same A$1,392 on 27 October as a member price.

One catch on that A$1,392: on 27 October Ecosa’s store presented its lower prices as member prices — signing up is free and gives members an extra 20% off — so the “discount” is really a sign-up perk, and non-members see RRP. The history gives you a clear target. Anything at or under about A$1,220 for a Pure queen is a good Ecosa Black Friday deal; 20% off is the everyday price and not worth rushing for.

For the cheaper Ecosa Mattress, Better Homes and Gardens reported A$862.50 for a queen, down from A$1,150, during Black Friday 2025 — 25% off with a free waterproof protector — and Home Beautiful listed the same A$862.50 price on Boxing Day. Our Ecosa review explains which model to choose; the Pure is the one we recommend, and Ecosa’s 92% reliability score in CHOICE’s owner survey was the best in our Australian set.

Emma Black Friday sale (and the Click Frenzy deal running now)

Emma is already discounting hard. On 27 Oct 2026 Emma’s Australian site was running a “Click Frenzy Sale: Up to 50% off!” with the Emma Comfort Protect queen at A$809, down from A$1,479 (45% off), and the Emma Luxe ThermoSoft queen at A$1,359, down from A$2,739 (50% off). Emma’s promo terms say the offer “ends on November 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM”.

Should you buy now or wait for an Emma Black Friday sale? The history says the end date is not something to worry about. Emma has offered 40–55% off at every event we can cite: 55% off the Luxe Pro and 45% off the Comfort Essential at EOFY 2025 (Tom’s Guide AU), 40% off the Comfort Plus at Black Friday 2025 (Better Homes and Gardens, A$768 for a queen), 45% off on Boxing Day 2025 (Home Beautiful, Luxe Pro queen A$1,094.50) and 50% off the Luxe Pro at Easter 2026 (Tom’s Guide AU, A$1,199). When a brand is half price four times a year, half price is simply the price.

The catch with Emma is not the deal; it is the service record. The brand’s Australian Trustpilot score was 1.8 from 84 reviews when we built our Australian rankings, and Bedbuyer rated the older Emma Comfort a “serviceable” 3.7 out of 5 with flimsy edges. Emma has since renamed and reworked its range — the Comfort Protect and Luxe ThermoSoft are new names — so independent reviews of these exact models are thin. At A$809 the Comfort Protect is the cheapest name-brand queen on this page, and the 150-night trial gives you a long window to return it. We’d buy it only if budget is the priority and you’re under about 100kg.

Origin mattress deals: read the ‘was’ price carefully

Origin is the brand where the fine print matters most. Its store shows the Origin Hybrid queen at A$711.55 with a crossed-out A$963, which looks like 26% off. But the A$963 is not a past Origin price. Origin labels it “Similar Brands Avg Price”, and its disclosure says the “Up to 50% savings” are “calculated against the average prices of comparable brands”. In other words, the advertised saving compares Origin with other companies, not with what Origin charged last month.

That is why we judge Origin against its own history instead. After Black Friday 2025, Tom’s Guide AU listed the Origin Hybrid queen at A$628 and noted that was “only AU$10 more than the Black Friday offer” — so about A$618 during the event. Today’s A$711.55 is roughly A$94 higher. Origin’s site also says its weekly promotion “often returns approximately once every 2-4 weeks”, which tells you the countdown timer on the page is not a reason to hurry.

  • Target price: around A$620 for an Origin Hybrid queen during Black Friday week.
  • Who it suits: back and stomach sleepers who like a firm, zoned hybrid. Tom’s Guide AU rated it 4/5 and found it firmer than Origin’s own 6.5 rating; side sleepers may want a topper.
  • The risk: Origin’s Australian Trustpilot record is small and poor (1.7 from 20 reviews), though ProductReview owners rate it far higher. It has a 120-night trial and a 15-year warranty.

Amazon AU, Snooze and the big retailers

Shoppers searching for cyber Monday mattress deals in Australia often end up at Amazon or the big bricks-and-mortar chains. Here is what we could and could not verify this week. Snooze’s homepage on 27 Oct 2026 was running an “Any size, single price” promotion ending that Sunday, and advertised that free members get “20% off RRP everyday”. That second line is worth remembering: if a store gives a fifth off RRP to anyone who signs up, a 20% Black Friday discount is not a deal.

Forty Winks blocked our check, and we have not yet verified a current Harvey Norman mattress offer, so neither appears in the tracker. For Amazon Australia, an earlier Better Homes and Gardens check found the Koala Mattress queen listed there at A$1,290, slightly above Koala’s own A$1,249 RRP, and we could not find a Koala queen listing on Amazon AU today. Our advice is unchanged from our Koala review: buy direct from the brand during a sale. It is usually cheaper, and the brand’s trial and warranty terms are guaranteed only through its own store.

Retail chains do have one advantage over online brands: you can lie on the mattress first. If you go that way, note the model, then compare the chain’s Black Friday price with the online brands above. Store-brand and exclusive models are hard to price-check, and traditional retailers rarely offer the 100–150 night trials that online brands do, so ask about returns before you pay.

How to tell a real Black Friday saving from a fake one

The single most useful habit for Australian mattress sales is to ignore the RRP and compare with the last sale. Tom’s Guide AU put it plainly in its Black Friday 2025 coverage: Australian mattresses “are hardly ever sold at RRP”, which “makes the advertised ‘discount’ meaningless in some cases”. Our chart applies that rule to the deals we are tracking.

Read it like this. The blue panel is what the banner tells you. The pink panel is what matters: how much more you would pay today than at the best recent sale we can document. The Origin Hybrid is advertised at 26% off but is about A$94 dearer than last Black Friday. The Ecosa Pure is advertised at 20% off but is about A$200 above its Black Friday 2025 price. The Koala is not discounted at all and is about A$375 above its March 2026 sale price. Only Emma’s gap is small, and that comparison is with a previous model.

Four checks that catch most fake savings:

  1. Whose price is the ‘was’? If it is a “similar brands” average, as with Origin, it says nothing about whether today is cheap for that brand.
  2. How often is it on sale? If a brand is 45–50% off at Easter, EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day, as Emma has been, the sale price is the real price.
  3. Did the RRP move? Ecosa’s Pure RRP rose from A$1,700 to A$1,740 between Black Friday 2025 and Easter 2026, so the same percentage now produces a higher price.
  4. Is the saving on a bundle? Sleeping Duck’s biggest discounts apply to mattress-plus-base systems. Great if you need the base; irrelevant if you don’t.

It is also worth knowing that many brands give first-time customers 5–10% for signing up to their newsletter, as Tom’s Guide AU notes and as Koala and Emma both advertise. During big events those codes often can’t be combined with the sale price, so check the cart total rather than adding percentages in your head.

Best Black Friday mattress deal by sleeper type

A cheap mattress you return is not a deal, so start with fit. These are the mattresses we’d target this Black Friday for each kind of sleeper, and the price at which each becomes a buy. The firmness notes come from our Australian reviews; if you’re unsure where you sit, our mattress firmness guide explains the scale.

A few extra notes. Hot sleepers should lean towards the hybrids — Sleeping Duck, Ecosa Pure and Origin — over all-foam beds like the standard Koala, though heat is still the most common owner complaint about the Mach II; our hot sleepers guide covers what actually helps. Side sleepers should look at the Koala Plus or a softer Sleeping Duck insert rather than the firm Origin Hybrid. And if you are buying a single or king single for a child, the big brands’ smaller sizes are often poor value even on sale; the Sleeping Duck single costs A$999 at full price, for example. Check dimensions on our Australian mattress sizes guide before you order.

EOFY vs Black Friday vs Boxing Day: when do AU brands discount most?

On the evidence, there is no single best month. EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day all bring roughly 30–35% off at Koala and Ecosa, 45–55% at Emma and up to around 50% at Origin. What separates them is timing and extras.

  • EOFY (June): the deepest Emma discounts we can cite (up to 55%), Sleeping Duck system deals, and the sale sometimes runs into July. Good if you can wait through winter.
  • Click Frenzy, Black Friday and Cyber Monday (November): the widest choice — almost every brand participates — plus bundle deals and freebies. The best time to buy before summer and before Christmas guests.
  • Boxing Day (December): similar percentages, sometimes with an extra dollar-off amount stacked on (Koala added A$100 in 2025). Delivery over the holidays can be slower.

Our rule: if your current mattress is sagging or hurting your back, buy during Black Friday week rather than waiting a month for Boxing Day — the price difference between the two events has been small, and sleep matters more than A$50. If your mattress is merely tired, either event is fine. Our mattress lifespan guide covers the signs it’s time to replace.

Before you click buy: a Black Friday checklist

  1. Choose the mattress first, the deal second. Shortlist from our best mattress Australia page or reviews, then wait for that model’s price to hit the target in our tracker.
  2. Check the queen price on the brand’s own store. Comparison sites and newsletter codes go stale; the brand’s checkout is the only price that counts.
  3. Compare with the best past price, not the RRP. Use the arrows in our tracker.
  4. Read the trial terms. Trials run from 100 nights (Sleeping Duck, Ecosa) to 150 (Emma). Some require a minimum number of nights before a return.
  5. Check your base. Slat gaps and adjustable bases can void warranties — Sleeping Duck’s is void above 12cm gaps.
  6. Plan for delivery. Black Friday orders can take longer; if you need the bed by a specific date, order early in the sale week.
  7. Keep screenshots. If the price drops again within days, some brands will honour the difference if you ask; a screenshot of what you paid makes that conversation easier.

We’ll keep updating this page every week until 1 December. If a brand announces its Black Friday 2026 sale early, the tracker and verdicts above will change to match — check the “Last checked” date at the top.

Black Friday mattress sale Australia: FAQ

When is Black Friday 2026 in Australia?

Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Most Australian mattress brands start their sales a week or more earlier and keep the same prices through Cyber Monday.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a mattress in Australia?

Yes. Koala, Ecosa, Sleeping Duck and Origin all ran discounts of roughly 30–50% or large bundle savings at Black Friday 2025, matching EOFY and Boxing Day. Emma is the exception: it discounts 40–55% at almost every event, so its Black Friday price is rarely special.

Does Koala have a Black Friday sale?

Koala ran up to 30% off storewide for Black Friday 2025, according to Better Homes and Gardens, and its store already has a Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2026 collection. On 27 October 2026 the Koala Mattress queen was full price at A$1,249.

Does Sleeping Duck have Black Friday deals?

Yes. Sleeping Duck says it only offers promotions or discount codes during Black Friday, Boxing Day and EOFY. Last Black Friday it took A$814 off a frame-and-mattress bundle. Outside those events, only its bundles are discounted, by A$100–A$200.

Is EOFY or Black Friday better for mattresses in Australia?

They are about equal. Cited discounts at EOFY 2025 and Black Friday 2025 were similar for Koala (up to 30%) and Ecosa (up to 35%); Emma went deeper at EOFY (up to 55%). Black Friday has the widest choice of brands and more bundle extras.

When is Click Frenzy 2026?

Click Frenzy’s Main Event runs in November; 2026 dates had not been announced as of 8 October (the 2025 event ran 11–14 November). Emma is already running a Click Frenzy sale that ends on 2 November 2026.

Are mattress RRPs real in Australia?

Rarely. Online mattress brands discount for most of the year, so RRP mostly serves as the baseline for advertised percentages. Origin’s crossed-out price is an average of similar brands, not its own former price. Compare with the last sale price instead.
