Short version: some links pay us a commission. Rankings come from published data, not payouts.
OpenMattressLab is reader-supported. When you buy through some links on this site we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Current programs:
- Amazon Associates (US, UK, Canada, Australia) — as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Brand programs for Saatva, Nectar, DreamCloud, Puffy and Bear, typically run through affiliate networks.
What that does not change
- Every score is calculated from the same formula on How we rate. A brand can’t buy a higher score.
- We list non-paying brands (e.g. Helix, Purple, Tempur-Pedic, Koala, Douglas) whenever they’re genuinely the better fit, and we say when a partner brand isn’t right for you.
- We quote complaints as prominently as praise, and we link every source so you can check us.
What we are (and aren’t)
We are a research desk. We do not claim to have personally slept on every mattress. We aggregate independent lab tests, expert reviews and owner reviews, and we tell you where each number came from.
